These are illustrative investment categories, not all-in quotes or a complete list of ARI options.
Example: a family prioritizing Europe
Hypothetical scenario: a family wants a lawful base in Portugal and access to Portuguese daily life. A Portuguese residence framework is directly relevant to that objective. Argentine nationality does not supply the same legal permission.
The family still needs ARI eligibility, investment suitability, residence conditions and realistic processing expectations. "Operating" does not mean immediate approval.
Example: an investor prioritizing Argentine nationality
A second investor specifically wants Argentine citizenship. Portugal's initial legal outcome does not meet that objective, even if a particular investment appears financially attractive. Argentina's incomplete operational details and legal-review issues remain part of the decision.
Compare capital and tax separately
A contribution, bond and investment fund carry different financial characteristics. Do not subtract a hoped-for return from the headline commitment or compare dollars and euros as equivalent amounts.
Residence-permit status and tax residence also need separate review. The Argentina tax page explains only Argentina's specified naturalization rule; it cannot establish Portugal's treatment.
